Visit our youth services centre in Hadston Morpeth

Based in the heart of Hadston, Morpeth, the Hadston House youth and community projects is set up for the community, by the community. For 10 years it has opened its doors to people of all ages and cultural backgrounds, affording space for a diverse range of activities and events. From a community café to a free sexual health clinic, from IT support to cooking classes and after school clubs, Hadston House puts local people first.

Community Cafe

Our community café offers home-made cooking from breakfasts, cakes, pies, scones, etc. all our meals are freshly prepared daily 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday 9:00am till 2:00pm. Our café is a place where local people can come and socialise while enjoying low cost, affordable meals. We have now introduced free WIFI in our café so you can browse the web while you’re here.

Monday to Friday we provide a ‘MEALS ON WHEELS SERVICE’ we deliver to Hadston, Broomhill, Amble, Widdrington and Ulgham, These meals are on a 4 week cycle and they include a Main meal and a Dessert. Meals are delivered at Lunch Time, Snacks are also available e.g. Sandwiches, Cakes, could also be added to your order for a small extra charge.

We now do outside catering, prices from £4.00 per head.

Our Library

The community Library is free to use, here we offer a good range of quality literature for all ages. We also provide the use of a photocopy machine for a small fee.
Our “silver surfer" group help seniors setup email accounts and provide online help where needed. Whether it is learning to use email, assistance with online shopping or unemployment training, we offer the help you need, free of charge.

Young People Service

The Hadston House youth and community projects provides a nurturing and safe environment, a caring and professional staff, and lots of enriching activities. We offer a wide variety of programs to ensure we have the perfect activity for your child's interests, needs, and schedule. 

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday is our teen café night.
Juniors are welcome to attend the programme from 5pm to 6:45pm and seniors are welcome from 7pm to 8.45pm.

During school holidays we provide one out of area experience day for example, Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Hadston House youth and community projects offers free, confidential sexual health services. We offer our assistance every Wednesday night to young people from the ages of 13 and up. We provide information, guidance and free contraceptives.

Teen Café

During our Teen Café, we encourage teens to cook food for one another. They are free to take it home or eat it together. We teach them to make food that is easy to make and loved by all ages such as pizzas and tacos. The young people cook and prepare the food and are able to gain a food safety certificate.
